MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE

Held on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

Other regular events are:

GARS hosts FCC license testing on the first Saturday of even numbered months.
Testing is conducted by the Gainesville team of ARRL Volunteer Examiners (the VE Team).
These sessions are held at Waldo City Square starting at 1pm – no appointment is necessary.
Please be sure to arrive a little early, as we do not allow late test takers to enter after the session starts.

Tech Day – also held at Waldo City Square, are “open house” for anyone interested in amateur radio.
These happen two weeks after the testing sessions – 1:00-4:00pm on the third Saturday of even numbered months.
Always well attended, these provide a fun and relaxed place to chat, get advice on all things radio/electronics/licensing, and meet locals.
